CLAT 2024 :- An extraordinary achievement came to light in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024 results, when Pradyot Shah, a Class 12 student of Mallya Aditi International School, secured the coveted second position. What adds a unique dimension to this success story is that Pradyot overtook his mentor, career launcher, Rahul Pulkurthi of Indira Nagar, who secured the third rank. Both scored equal marks, but it was Pradyot’s performance in the legal section that catapulted him to the runner-up position.

Speaking to Times of India, Pradyot Shah expressed his disbelief at scoring the same marks as his teacher, saying, “I can’t believe that I have scored the same marks as Rahul sir. He is excellent at everything he does.”

Teaching strategies

In an interview with TOI, Rahul told that he takes the exam to improve his teaching strategies and stay updated with the changing exam pattern. He stressed on the unpredictability of competitive exams and the importance of the right approach to succeed within the given time frame. Rahul highlighted that taking such tests also provides teachers with an opportunity for introspection, enabling them to evaluate and refine their teaching methods based on students’ responses.

Pradyot envisions a future in law that highlights the transformative impact of lawyers on the lives of citizens. On the contrary, their teachers see the exam as an opportunity to grow and improve their teaching strategies.

Pradyot, son of architect parents, is now faced with the decision of choosing between NLSIU Bangalore and NLU Delhi for his further studies.

CLAT UG exam

Apart from the exceptional performance of the Bengaluru duo, a candidate from Rajasthan scored full 100 per cent marks in the CLAT UG exam (5-year integrated BA-LLB). With this, a candidate from Delhi claimed the top position in CLAT PG exam (LLM) with 99.99 percentile. Notably, six candidates secured the fifth rank with 99.96 per cent, of which two are from Uttar Pradesh.

CLAT is a nationwide entrance examination that acts as a centralized gateway for admission to 22 National Law Universities across India. The exam, held on Sunday, December 3, was conducted across 139 exam centers across 25 states and 4 union territories in India. After the results, shortlisted candidates can register for the admission cum counseling process starting from December 12, which will end on December 22, 2023.
